At Blue Llama, we usually let our work speak for itself. But this time, we’re celebrating something a little louder.
We’ve been shortlisted not once, but twice in the Jersey TechAwards 2025, and we’re absolutely buzzing.
For a small, remote-first agency based in Jersey, this kind of recognition means a lot. The TechAwards are a major event in our island’s digital calendar, shining a spotlight on the people, projects and organisations driving tech innovation across the Channel Islands.
Being shortlisted is a proud moment for us and a nod to the talent and tenacity of our team. It also shows that impactful, high-quality work doesn’t need to come from the biggest agency in the room. Sometimes, small teams just do big things.
Here’s what we’ve been recognised for.
🧠 AI Award – Ask Max (with Cyan Regulatory)
Ask Max is an AI-powered chatbot built in partnership with Cyan Regulatory to support compliance professionals in Jersey.
Max has been trained using four key Jersey financial laws and 17 guidance documents tied to the island’s AML, CFT and CPF regimes. It gives users fast, real-time answers to questions around local anti-money laundering rules through a simple online chat interface.
It’s powered by expert content from Cyan Regulatory and the JFSC, is free to use, and is designed to reduce compliance headaches with straight answers, instantly.
Our role was to turn all that complexity into a clear, helpful tool that people could actually use. It’s been called a game-changer, and we’re thrilled it’s getting recognised.
⚙️ Productivity Award – Jersey Confidential (with All Island Media)
This one started as a website project and became something much more.
Jersey Confidential had a labour-intensive, paper-based process for handling court documents. It involved printing, sorting, highlighting, and manually updating the site with case data. It was slow, repetitive and ripe for change.
So we automated it.
Now, AI processes and splits court documents by case type. Relevant data is extracted, structured and prepped for publication. A human steps in at the final check before it goes live.
What used to take hours now takes minutes. And that kind of transformation is exactly what the Productivity category is all about.
Why this matters so much?
These nominations mean more than just a line on a trophy wishlist. They’re validation from experts in our own backyard that our work is solving real problems and helping real people.
Both projects were collaborative, cost-conscious, and built with purpose. They’re not just tech for tech’s sake. They’re thoughtful, meaningful tools that are already making a difference in Jersey’s regulatory and legal landscapes.
And we’re incredibly proud to be behind them.
