Blue Llama shortlisted twice at the Jersey TechAwards 2026

We’re delighted to share that Blue Llama has been shortlisted for not one, but two Jersey TechAwards 2026.

Our mortgage comparison platform, Swoop.je, has been shortlisted in both the AI Award and Innovation Award categories, recognising the impact the platform has made since launching earlier this year.

The recognition is particularly meaningful given that this year’s awards saw a significant increase in entries, making the competition stronger than ever.

A new approach to mortgage comparison

Launched in January 2026, Swoop.je is Jersey’s first mortgage comparison platform, allowing islanders to compare more than 300 mortgage products from all seven local lenders in one place.

The platform was designed to make one of life’s biggest financial decisions simpler, faster and more transparent. Instead of visiting multiple websites or speaking to several lenders, users can quickly compare mortgage products and identify options that suit their circumstances.

Since launch, Swoop has attracted thousands of users, facilitated more than 13,000 mortgage searches, and generated over £11 million in mortgage referrals.

Shortlisted for Innovation Award

The Innovation Award recognises projects that introduce new ideas, approaches or technologies that create meaningful impact.

Swoop was built using a completely AI-first approach, allowing us to design, develop and launch a fully functioning mortgage comparison platform in just a few weeks. The platform also uses AI to collect and structure mortgage data from multiple lenders, helping ensure information remains accurate and up to date.

The judges recognised both the technical innovation behind the platform and the value it is delivering to consumers across the island.

Shortlisted for AI Award

The AI Award recognises innovative applications of artificial intelligence that solve real-world problems.

AI sits at the heart of Swoop. From AI-assisted development and automated mortgage data aggregation to Morty, our AI-powered mortgage assistant, artificial intelligence plays a key role throughout the platform.

The result is a service that helps islanders better understand their mortgage options while making the platform commercially viable in a small market.

We’ve been fortunate enough to be shortlisted before, but we’ve never taken home the trophy. Hopefully 2026 will be the year that changes.
